About the role

This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence. In the role of the Electrical Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist the Electrical Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class by being the direct supervisor of a team of electrical engineers, EITs and designers with varying degree of experience.
  • Work as a collaborative team with fellow Team Leads and the Electrical Business Class Lead for work staffing and project proposals.
  • Provide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development.
  • Collaborate closely with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in all key markets including healthcare, sports, recreation, and civic.
  • Function as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
  • Works collaboratively with other team leads, business class leads, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
  • Actively encourage and participate in work-sharing and electrical practice development with a nation-wide network of the HDR Electrical Business Class.
  • Aid the Electrical Business Class Lead in the recruitment and growth of the business class.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Commercial/institutional experience in technology/data centers preferred
  • Previous datacenter experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm desired
  • Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 7 years experience
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
