About the Role

The assembler works with mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment at sub-assembly or system level, performing testing, alignment, modification, repair, assembly, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and accuracy of end products or components.

Responsibilities

  • Operate under minimal supervision, completing tasks verified through computer systems for quality compliance.
  • Validate work-in-progress operations and perform final quality checks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to safety protocols, and manage shop floor computerized time and attendance systems.
  • Install, connect, align, and adjust equipment for complex testing to evaluate reliability.
  • Disassemble, refurbish, repair, and restore equipment and components following technical documentation and instructions.
  • Perform functional testing using specialized tools, fixtures, and measuring devices.
  • Handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks like standing, stooping, and reaching.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze equipment to determine repair needs.
  • Proficient in disassembly, refurbishing, and precise fitting of mechanical and electronic assemblies.
  • Skilled with hand tools, electronic/mechanical measuring devices, and working with systems that include electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components.
