About the role

Safran Cabin is a leading provider of aircraft interiors and advanced water and waste management systems. We are seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • The Electrical Mechanic 1 is responsible for assembling products according to required specifications and procedures, including the assembly of electrical components and wire build-up/routing.
  • The Electrical Mechanic 2 is responsible for executing higher complexity work in the wire shop, guiding and teaching entry-level employees as a peer mentor.
  • The Electrical Mechanic 3 is responsible for using various tools and equipment to assemble products according to required specifications/procedures, including the assembly of electrical components and wire build-up/routing.

Requirements

  • Knowledge/Experience Level 1: Must be at least 18 years old, High School diploma or GED, ability to read process specifications, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge/Experience Level 2: Must be at least 18 years old, High School diploma or GED, preferably 3-5 years of experience in an aerospace electrical manufacturing environment, an FAA A&P certificate is desirable but not required, experience with Boeing & Airbus wire specifications, and ability to read process specifications.
  • Knowledge/Experience Level 3: Must be at least 18 years old, High School diploma or GED, preferably 7 years of experience in an aerospace electrical manufacturing environment, an FAA A&P certificate is desirable but not required, experience with Boeing & Airbus wire specifications, and ability to read process specifications.

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to communicate orally with others, internally & externally, troubleshooting/problem solving, prioritizing, multi-tasking, working under pressure, performing basic mathematical calculations, understanding customer's expectations, understanding drawings, specifications, and following written procedures, completing associated paperwork, sitting for prolonged periods of time, testing continuity of circuits, measuring, cutting, inserting, and assembling electrical routing materials, understanding and interpreting technical data electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installations, working in a team environment, participating in continuous improvement activities, responsible for the quality of production, utilizing small hand crimp tools, wires strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers & pliers, splicing wires, applying terminal caps, routing wire within sleeves.

Requirements

  • Ability to distinguish between the color spectrum, occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
