Mission Description
Northwest Aerospace Technologies (NAT), a Safran Company, is dedicated to providing top-tier services in design, engineering, quality, certification, and manufacturing for a variety of Blue-Chip customers. As a Mechanical Design Engineer 3, you will play a crucial role on our Engineering team.
- The design function: Complete research, data acquisition, and engineering generation to produce engineering products (part lists, drawings, documents, etc.).
- The design content: Ensure design content complies with company quality system procedures, customer statements of work, and applicable certification requirements.
- Career growth: Work with senior technical engineers and project engineers to enhance engineering experience.
- Statement of work development: Develop comprehensive program definitions, including kit development, manpower requirements, and engineering statement of work definitions.
- Engineering package development: Create engineering packages from concept to production using engineering tools and personnel.
- Quality assurance: Ensure NAT's drawings and documents meet established standards, customer requirements, and applicable certification authorities.
- Expertise in multiple disciplines: Gain experience in various fields of the aerospace industry, including structures, interiors, and systems functions for mechanical engineers, and wire diagrams, wire kits, wire installations, and system design for electrical engineers.

Knowledge/Experience
- A four-year engineering degree, preferably in a field offering a well-rounded background (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years or more of broad technical experience in an aerospace-related application or a non-degreed employee with an equivalent amount of experience in an aerospace-related career.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in researching OEM drawings, specifically related to mechanical systems such as environmental control systems, vacuum waste systems, and water supply and drain systems.
- Experience in designing mechanical systems, including environmental control systems, vacuum waste systems, and water supply & drain systems.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office work.
- Consistent use of computer keyboard and monitor.
- Fluent communication in English required.
- Protracted or irregular hours may be required.
- Must be comfortable meeting firm deadlines and completing work on time.
