Essential Functions

  • Resolves manufacturing issues affecting product quality and availability.
  • Develops and coordinates processes and sustaining engineering protocols for operational efficiencies.
  • Maintains manufacturing documentation and production reports defining key metrics and outlining current activities.
  • Utilizes lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma methodology to evaluate and improve assembly line performance.
  • Implements improvement processes to ensure projects are justifiable, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Supports the integration of new products into full production through the NPDI process.
  • Provides technical support for product improvements based on trend analysis.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing organization is required.
  • Experience working with electromechanical products is preferred.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including LEAN Manufacturing & Six-Sigma methodology.
  • Effective communication skills, including report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and approaches.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to consider costs and benefits.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Experience with electronics assembly and injection molded plastic components is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, and process capability studies is preferred.
  • Experience with irrigation products or industry is preferred.

Salary Range

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $80,000 - $115,000. The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
