About the role
We are seeking experienced Electrical Managers to support some of the largest utility-scale solar and energy storage projects currently being built across the United States. This is a field leadership role focused on electrical construction execution, quality, commissioning readiness, and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the electrical technical leader on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
- Support electrical construction execution from installation through commissioning and energization.
- Train, mentor, and develop electricians, foremen, field engineers, and electrical crews.
- Ensure electrical work is installed safely and in accordance with project quality standards.
- Identify installation issues and provide technical guidance and corrective actions.
- Support commissioning, startup, testing, and energization activities.
- Aid in troubleshooting electrical systems and field execution challenges.
- Collaborate with project management, construction leadership, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.
- Support electrical quality assurance and construction readiness initiatives.
- Travel between projects as needed to support field operations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of electrical construction experience.
- Strong medium-voltage and/or high-voltage electrical experience.
- Experience leading electrical crews, electricians, or field teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, safety practices, and construction execution.
- Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time.
- Journeyman Electrician license (preferred).
- Utility-scale solar experience (preferred).
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience (preferred).
- Utility, industrial, power generation, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial electrical experience (preferred).
- E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) experience (preferred).
- Commissioning, startup, testing, and energization experience (preferred).
- Experience working with substations, collector systems, and utility interconnections (preferred).
