Electrical Maintenance Technician - Relocation Available

Description

An established industrial manufacturing organization operating a large‑scale, 24/7 production facility in Shreveport, LA is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation systems throughout the facility.
• Diagnose faults on programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley), motors, drives, sensors, and associated control systems.
• Maintain and repair alternating current and direct current motors, power distribution systems, and industrial equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately within the maintenance management system.
• Support continuous‑improvement, safety initiatives, and operational reliability objectives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, processing, metals, heavy industrial, or a similar environment.
• Technical degree or formal training in Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Hands‑on experience with AC/DC motors, drives, and industrial control systems.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to work a rotating DuPont shift schedule covering days and nights.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently during off‑shift operations.
• Experience within a 24/7 manufacturing operation is preferred.
