Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Provide various support to the overall facility maintenance, including support for the production lines, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, moving, and maintenance of a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply one or more craft skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at a journeyman level.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, furnaces, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, chemical tanks, PLCs, production machinery, and instrumentation equipment.
• Install new machinery and equipment and move machinery and equipment to affect layout changes as required, including rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and making necessary hook-ups.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities of all types, including critical tasks requiring extensive dismantling, re-assembly, and critical adjustment, lubrication, and/or calibration.
• Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in a production environment.

Requirements

• Strong demonstrable knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, mechanical theory, and pneumatics.
• Previous experience supporting an industrial fluid application facility is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent computer skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must maintain and account for assigned tools and equipment.
• Must have a valid forklift operator's license or pass required training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Certification in electronics, electrical, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory.
• 3-5 years of experience in general production maintenance, including craft skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at the journeyman level.

• First Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Third Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
