Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair 480V electrical systems, including motor control circuits and distribution components
- Diagnose and support variable frequency drives (VFDs), including parameter verification, fault analysis, and basic commissioning
- Install, wire, and commission field instrumentation, including:
- Flow meters
- Pressure transmitters
- Level sensors
- Analytical instruments (pH, conductivity, etc.)
- Perform loop checks, signal validation, and calibration of 4–20 mA devices
- Auxiliary tasks involving PLC-based systems:
- Verify I/O signals
- Identify wiring vs. logic issues
- Perform basic troubleshooting under remote guidance
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance, including:
- Diagnosing pump performance issues (loss of prime, cavitation, low flow, etc.)
- Inspecting and replacing pump components (seals, impellers, pump heads for dosing systems)
- Identifying blockages, valve issues, and piping restrictions
- Supporting skid-mounted equipment maintenance and repairs
- Read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- P&IDs
- Mechanical layouts
- Support startup, shutdown, and maintenance activities
- Maintain clear documentation of field changes and issues
- Clock with remote engineering support for advanced diagnostics and system updates
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, or controls work
- Strong working knowledge of 480V systems and motor controls
- Experience troubleshooting VFDs (any major brand)
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience with pumps and process equipment
- Familiarity with 4–20 mA instrumentation and signal loops
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and P&IDs
- Comfortable using a multimeter and basic mechanical tools
- Ability to work independently in a plant environment
- Experience in water or wastewater treatment systems
- Experience with centrifugal pumps, dosing pumps, and skid-mounted systems
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as:
- Siemens
- Allen-Bradley
- Schneider or similar
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience (I/O checks, forcing, status monitoring)
- Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition is a plus)
- Knowledge of networking basics (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP)
- Electrical license or technical certification
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical, mechanical, or controls work
- Strong working knowledge of 480V systems and motor controls

About the Role
This is a field-oriented role requiring strong electrical troubleshooting skills, practical mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in an industrial environment.
Requirements
This will be a short-term project due to last until November 2026. This is a contracted position with access to medical, dental, and vision benefits. This position will be located in Hooks, Texas.
