Responsibilities

• Electricians must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them.
• Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance personnel in the following areas: electronic instrumentations/DCS, electrical distribution, pneumatic/hydraulic control systems and control valves.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, including but not limited to, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

• Knowledge and understanding of the basic operating principles of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's.
• Maintenance experience: 3+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters.
• Proven hands-on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance.
• Proven hands-on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's.
• Maintenance experience: 3+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience.
