Responsibilities

  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, including but not limited to, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Technical Requirements

  • Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with a keen interest to further your own ability and studies.
  • Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Skilled in the use of tools, machines and testing instruments used in the repair and overhaul of steelmaking plant equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the basic operating principles of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components.
  • Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations.
  • Adapts approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
  • Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from relevant sources
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters.
  • Proven hands-on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance.
  • Proven hands-on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's.
  • Maintenance experience: 3+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience.
