Electrical Maintenance Technician

Position Specifics

• Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (5-2-2-5 rotating shift)
• Location: Cleveland Melt Shop - 5k Sign on Bonus!

What You’ll Do

• Ensure the reliability and safety of operations by maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
• Support preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and contribute to a team-oriented, safety-focused environment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and installations.
• Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and electrical codes.
• Support mechanical team members and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes as needed.
• Use digital tools and systems to complete work orders and maintain records.
• Support environmental, safety, and quality procedures.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial electrician maintenance.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC theory, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Experience with schematics, test instruments, and industrial safety protocols.
• Ability to work in environments with dirt, grease, heat, cold, and at heights.

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman Certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
• Background in steel industry maintenance.
• Welding and light fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with Profibus, Profinet, or Ethernet-based industrial networks.
• Knowledge of PID control loops and combustion systems.
