Responsibilities
- Oversee Electrical Maintenance Program.
- Provide oversight for the electrical maintenance program for Mideast Division.
- Manage and Direct.
- Manage and direct Maintenance Supervisors and Area Electricians as assigned.
- Collaborate.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Operations groups on new electrical projects and modifications.
- Work with high and low tension, single, and multiple phase power lines and panels.
- Schedule and Assign.
- Assign duties for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, electric safety devices, resistors, electro-magnets, motor drives, transformers, magnetic breaks, starters, etc. in shop facilities and at plant sites.
- Prepare Diagrams.
- Prepare diagrams or sketches, often of a complicated nature, for work to be performed.
- Recommend design changes as needed.
- Troubleshoot.
- Troubleshoot electrical power issues and prepare and coordinate plans, supplies, and crews to resolve issues.
- Maintain power supply lines as required.
- Devise Electrical Circuits.
- Devise electrical circuits involving solenoids, switches, resistors, relays, and other "state of the art" equipment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Must have at least 10 years of supervisory experience.
- A good working knowledge of PLC systems and programming is preferred.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical codes, plant and electrical equipment, low and medium voltage power distribution, and electrical equipment used in the plant and on locomotives, power shovels, and other operating equipment.
- Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as voltmeters, amp meters, indicators, and test equipment and instruments.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is between $130,000 - $160,000 annual salary. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
