Electrical Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Installing conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel.
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC’s, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Having the ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Starting up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.
• Having a basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.
• Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.

Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Training: Completion of an apprenticeship program, which includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and challenging terrains typical of construction sites.
• Experience: Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.

Pay

Compensation: Unlicensed $35 / Hour + $10.00 / hour incentive; Licensed $40 / hour + $10.00 / hour incentive. Project Incentive Pay - This project offers an additional $10.00 / hour incentive paid on top of the base hourly rate for all hours worked on the project.

Schedule

Monday-Saturday: 10 hours per day (6/10 schedule). Per diem: For eligible travelers, a per diem of $178 per day worked is available. Restrictions apply.
