Electrical Journeyman

About the role

Loenbro is a trusted construction lifecycle partner in the Nashville, TN area. This is a project position for Journeyman Electricians who have experience in commercial or industrial environments. The role involves installing, starting up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing industrial equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Lay out conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
• Work with and train apprentices on the job.
• Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.

Requirements

• Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Dependable, works hard, and willing to put in the hours needed.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Outside most of the time.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Limited working surfaces.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
• Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
