Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC guidelines
- Work with minimal supervision while providing guidance to Apprentices
- Cut, bend, and install conduit
- Utilize standard electrical testing equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Collaborate with and assist other trades departments as needed
- Apply knowledge of policies and procedure followed within the Electrical Division and company
- Run any size project from start to finish
- Train apprentices and journeyman electricians
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes
- Adhere to company safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial electrical role
- Able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently to determine the scope of work locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
- Understands various aspects of an industrial facility including structural, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.
- Strong knowledge of electrical code and applies it daily while on the job
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and estimators
- Strong understanding of turn-key industrial process
- Troubleshoot Equipment Control Systems
- Troubleshoot Electrical Power Systems
- Blueprint reading
- Electrical panel installation
- Knowledge and application of National Electric Code
- Transformer installation
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes

- LIC/Med DOT Physical Trailer Loading and Securing of Material Meter usage Meggers Rigging Requirements: Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials. Use & recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope sling Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines Identifies common load configurations & positioning Calculate load weights Rigger 2 training – trains on above
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
