Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Technician (12hr shift) based in Forest Park, GA.

About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in a manufacturing environment. The role operates on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, and control circuits.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, and process control devices.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with automation and control systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
• Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment and systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams.
• Experience with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and process control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
