Electrical Helper - Austin

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will perform basic electrical tasks, assist senior Electricians, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to workplace procedures and health and safety guidance. This position offers on-the-job training, shadowing, and learning opportunities to help you gain your Electrician license or certification.

Responsibilities

• Gather tools and supplies for use at the work site
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit
• Trace out short circuits in wiring
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors
• Maintain tools and equipment, keeping supplies and parts organized
• Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment; dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
• Assist in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting, and positioning materials
• Operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision
• Assist in mounting and strapping conduit
• Support senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations

Requirements

• Apprentice Card
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, garages) and climb ladders or roofs
• Integrity and ability to promote a positive company image
• Exceptional customer service skills while on the job site
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily
• Results-driven in a high-energy environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
