Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and review electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting engineering documentation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Perform testing, verification, and analysis to ensure products meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, software, and mechanical engineering teams to support new product development and production launches.
  • Develop and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and validation procedures for prototype and production hardware.
  • Support product improvements by evaluating field issues, implementing design enhancements, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in customer discussions to clarify technical requirements and ensure design objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering change requests while maintaining accurate project records.
  • Assist with prototype builds, testing activities, and production support as needed.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Three or more years of experience in electronic hardware design, product development, or a similar engineering role.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Familiarity with PCB design, schematic capture, and electronic hardware development processes.
  • Experience using engineering software such as embedded C/C++, PCB design tools, LabVIEW, or similar development platforms.
  • Understanding of product validation, EMC/EMI testing, and hardware verification methodologies.
  • Experience supporting products through prototype, validation, and production phases.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
  • Experience with regulated industries, vehicle electronics, industrial controls, or safety-related products is a plus.
