Electrical Foreman

About the role

The Electrical Foreman oversees the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of electricians to ensure projects are completed safely and within budget.
• Oversee the installation and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
• Coordinate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
• Train and mentor new electricians to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the electrical department, including scheduling and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction and management.
• Valid journeyman electrician license.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices.
• Experience with project management software.
• Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code).
