Responsibilities

  • Leading and directing all field personnel involved in the assigned project or task.
  • Planning the project or task in the most efficient and profitable manner.
  • Ensuring all materials are ordered and received in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
  • Necessary to have and maintain certain personal tools as directed by leadership.
  • Reading and complying with all guidelines provided in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, or Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Licenses: Valid state driver's license.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR preferred.
  • Education: High School Graduate/GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years electrical experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Working from all types of ladders and being able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted.
  • Working in restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, and crawl spaces.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment as required.
  • Working 40 hours per week plus overtime as required, to include night shifts.

Required Physical/Mental Functions

  • Positively identifying colors of wire and other items as required.
  • Comprehending reading of blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Comprehending and practicing safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Operating company truck with manual and automatic transmission.
  • Reading and interpreting maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.
  • Hearing and seeing well (either natural or with correction).
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing and movement on foot.
  • Climbing ladders (all types).
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
