About the role
We're seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician who enjoys hands-on work in both laboratory and field environments. This role will support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance of advanced electro-mechanical systems while working closely with engineering teams on cutting-edge technology development.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, repair, and maintain electrical and electro-mechanical systems used in laboratory and field applications
- Support equipment installation, setup, commissioning, and operation during field deployments
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Utilize diagnostic equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to identify and resolve issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Document maintenance, repair, testing, and troubleshooting activities accurately
- Support root cause investigations and provide feedback to engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability
- Ensure equipment is operated and maintained safely under demanding laboratory and field conditions
- Travel to domestic and international project sites to support equipment deployment and operation
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent technical education
- 3+ years of experience assembling, troubleshooting, maintaining, or repairing industrial, laboratory, or electro-mechanical equipment
- Experience using diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience wiring machinery, panels, controls, or automation systems
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
