About the role

The Electrical Engineering team at Kodiak Robotics is seeking a hands-on technician to join our growing team. This role involves building and testing critical hardware products for our autonomous trucks. You will be responsible for assembling high-quality harness assemblies, performing incoming quality inspections, organizing and managing prototype test setups, and conducting various types of testing on electrical components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and test critical hardware products for Kodiak autonomous trucks
  • Perform incoming quality inspection for contract manufacturing harness builds
  • Organize and manage prototype test setups/fixtures
  • Perform testing on electrical components and assemblies
  • Manage BOMs and organize lab inventories
  • Manage and maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment throughout builds and engineering tests

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in an R&D or development lab environment in close collaboration with engineering staff
  • Experience with prototype builds, testing, and operating test equipment
  • Comfortable using soldering iron, multimeter, and crimping tools
  • Experience with oscilloscopes would be nice to have
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done, doing things before being asked by others
  • Able to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity; balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness

  • Local to the Bay Area
  • Excited to collaborate with a diverse and dedicated team

Skills

  • Experience with prototype builds, testing and operating test equipment
  • Comfortable using soldering iron, multimeter, and crimping tools
  • Experience with oscilloscopes would be nice to have

Pay

California Pay Range: $45 USD - $55 USD
