About the Role

The Electrical Engineering Technician will perform assigned tasks from Electrical Engineers including surface mount soldering and rework, circuit debugging with test equipment, cable and harness design/assembly, and electromechanical system testing. This position will work closely with a diverse Engineering team designing new CUAS products and supporting existing products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Electrical Engineering team to support embedded hardware design and troubleshooting, building CUAS systems.
  • Soldering and reworking fine pitch electrical components.
  • Evaluate schematic and circuit board layout in CAD programs such as Altium.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in prototype and production environments.

Requirements

  • Printed Circuit Board soldering and rework experience.
  • Electronic test equipment experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, cables, enclosure design, circuit assembly.
  • Understanding of basic Embedded Engineering design principles – PCB layout, circuit design, microcontrollers, etc.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant industry work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with PCB IPC standards.
  • RF, Defense, and Aerospace industry experience.

No degree required, but a technical certificate or degree is a plus.

Working Conditions

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.

  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

Additional Information

This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Probable travel once per quarter, though not required for daily activities.

Pay

Hourly rate: $32.80 - $43.40. Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
