Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform the maintenance and organization of the EE Lab.
  • Aid in Engineering with assembling and evaluating conceptual prototypes.
  • Assist with in-house PCB soldering, assembly, and testing of prototypes and concepts.
  • Perform in-house manufacturing operations, including product soldering, assembly, and testing.
  • Aid in prototype build and animal lab studies.
  • Aid in materials logistics such as receiving, stocking, and kitting of work orders for in-house or outside manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in one or more disciplines of manufacturing operations (e.g., R&D Technician, manufacturing, assembly & test, manufacturing engineering, subcontract, service).
  • Startup experience is a plus.
  • Experience at both large companies and startups preferred.
  • Must have excellent soldering and rework skills for SMT and through-hole components.
  • Must have excellent assembly skills using tooling such as crimpers, UV adhesive, cutting, sanding, drilling, and riveting.
  • Must have the ability to work from written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to build custom cable assemblies from drawings or written instructions.
  • Must have proficient knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Must have strong technical background in electrical systems and components.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Must have in-depth use and knowledge of Electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Must be able to perform electrical measurements and tests, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a positive outlook, enthusiasm, and high energy; ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, dynamic, drive-for-excellence environment.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work conscientiously and with minimal direction, using good judgment, taking initiative to accomplish short and long-range projects, and recommend actions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work as a team member, multitask, and be very flexible to adapt to a dynamic, fast-growing company's ever-changing work priorities and requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds.
