Electrical Engineering Technician

What You'll Do

• Prepare and instrument test samples, execute tests, record, and analyze results on power electronics and battery storage systems
• Achieve 3D CAD skills (preferred)
• Assist with testing at in-house and local contract laboratories
• Support the debug of products and sub-systems
• Support the build and test of automated test equipment and peripherals
• Rework prototypes and printed circuit board assemblies
• Carry out duties as defined by the engineers
• Contribute to server rack building/debugging, mechanical fixture setup/teardown, and harness builds
• Operate tests using environmental chambers for thermal/humidity, vibration, and related equipment
• Design, build, and dismantle mechanical fixtures, often using T-slotted aluminum extrusion

What You'll Bring

• A degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Two or more years of experience in an engineering development environment, with NEC NFPA 70 experience, previous lab environment
• A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, High Voltage/Power Electronics experience
• Soldering, electronics fabrication/prototyping, mechanical fabrication/prototyping skills, and wire harness skills
• Experience with sensors (ex. Thermocouples, flow sensors) and DAQ’s for collecting data
• Electrical fundamentals for building and debugging circuits in server racks
• Experience with common Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, and trouble shooting skills
• Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to self-prioritize
