Electrical Engineering Technician

Description

• Built, tested, and troubleshooted electrical/electronic circuitry and other systems used in finished equipment.
• Demonstrated working understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Demonstrated working understanding of a variety of laboratory test equipment.
• Assembled prototype devices and systems. Fabricated electronic and electromechanical test fixtures.
• Sets up and executed pre-defined subsystem/system qualification protocols with moderate supervision.
• Sets up data equipment to capture test data. Performed basic statistical analysis of results.
• Investigated, analyzed, repaired, and documented component or system level failures.

Qualifications

• Formal Technical / Associates degree in: Automation or Robotics or Electrical or electromechanical or related degree. Bachelor’s Degree in one of these fields strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining automation equipment
• PLC’s programming and troubleshooting (Leader Logic)
• Rockwell automation Software (Studio 5000, RsLogix500, etc.)
• Cognex Vision Systems and/or Keyence Vision Systems
• Servo Motion Controls System
• Proven successful experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of automated machinery. This includes maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatically, and electrical systems, all integrated within automated machinery.
• Development and/or execution of preventive maintenance routines for automated equipment.
