Electrical Engineering Technician

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for testing established and in-development products. This role involves working with product engineers to provide accurate test results and feedback for diagnosing problems. Additionally, the technician will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade current test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret schematics and component functions
• Build electrical and mechanical prototype systems
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Program test procedures
• Repair and rework printed circuit boards and communications wiring
• Assist with writing test plans
• Aid in design documentation and risk assessments

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or associate's degree equivalent preferred
• Skilled in using test equipment
• Proficient in using measurement equipment
• Ability to design wiring diagrams and wiring electrical circuits
• Knowledge of DC circuitry
