Electrical Engineering Technician

About the role

GreenXT is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) Engineering Team. This encompasses operation, maintenance, and installation of various DAS programs. The position involves advanced planning, development, and organization for pre-installation preparation of upcoming components. It also requires identifying, documenting, reporting, and recommending improvements for unexpected or abnormal conditions to the DAS Engineering Team.

Requirements

• A U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to start.
• High School diploma plus 3 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related field with 1 year of related experience.
• Comfortable working within electrical equipment, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage switchboards, generators, transformers, and load centers.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes, with no less than 30 lbs.
• Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions, and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Reviews and redlines schematics, engineering drawings, and written instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs terminations, runs wiring, and installs conduit.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
