About the role

Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering Internship in Rogers, AR. Over 10–12 weeks, you’ll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for a variety of building types while working alongside experienced engineers and consultants. This paid internship offers hands-on project experience in a mentored setting, supporting project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and periodic job-site observations—all within project budgets and client expectations. The team specializes in industrial and manufacturing work within broader MEP delivery, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA 2030.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with electrical design tasks for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
  • Assist with researching commercially available equipment and related resources.
  • Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule needs with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
  • Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement.

Requirements

  • Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong interest in design consulting.
  • Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Preferred: Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry.
