Electrical Engineering Intern

About the role

Join Garver's Water Design Center (WDC) in College Station, TX as an Electrical Engineering Intern. Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders, gaining real-world experience in the design of electrical power and controls systems through assisting with a wide array of water projects. Participate in the Garver Launch Program, an immersive hands-on intern development initiative that includes networking, wellness activities, community volunteer opportunities, and tailored professional training.

This is an in-office position with occasional travel to offsite locations for work-related tasks or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical power and controls systems for water and wastewater projects.
• Receive training from experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain exposure to the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit Garver’s Water project sites.
• Engage daily with fellow interns and industry professionals to build your network.
• Participate in wellness programs and community volunteer activities.
• Collaborate with Garver’s Learning and Development team to enhance professional growth.

Requirements

• Pursuing an electrical engineering degree in an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Previous consulting industry exposure or experience.
