Electrical Engineering Co-Op

About the role

We are seeking talented Electrical Engineering students to join our cooperative education program. Jordan & Skala Engineers collaborates with students from Cooperative Education Programs to provide them with industry experience and a competitive edge in the job market. Co-op students work alongside professionals in their degree fields and interdisciplinary teams, gaining rich experiences in consulting engineering.

Responsibilities

• Become acclimated to the consulting engineering workplace, legal codes, design concepts, and improve skills in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work alongside a mentor to learn through observation, instruction, and experience.
• Network with other co-op students and industry leaders, attend lunch and learns, and participate in company events.
• Continue to become familiar with codes and calculations, work more independently on projects in AutoCAD and Revit, and accompany an engineer to project site visits.
• Implement knowledge from previous semesters to review shop drawing submittals, design layouts, and complete calculations.
• Ask questions and learn from professionals during all semesters.

Requirements

Top-notch Electrical Engineering students are required to have a strong passion for building design and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program.
• Strong academic performance.
• Passion for building design and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
