About the role
We are seeking Electrical Engineering students who are passionate about building design to join our cooperative education program. Jordan & Skala Engineers offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the consulting engineering field alongside professionals.
Responsibilities
- Become acclimated to the consulting engineering workplace, legal codes, design concepts, and improve skills in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Work alongside professionals in your degree field and interdisciplinary teams.
- Learn through observation, instruction, and experience under a mentor.
- Discuss skills and goals with your mentor to maximize your experience with Jordan & Skala.
- Network with other co-op students and industry leaders, attend lunch and learns, and participate in company events.
- Continue to become familiar with codes and calculations, work more independently on projects in AutoCAD and Revit, and accompany an engineer to project site visits.
- Implement knowledge from previous semesters to review shop drawing submittals, design layouts, and complete calculations.
- Work more independently and gain valuable, professional work experience in your major.
Requirements
Top-notch Electrical Engineering students are needed. Must be enrolled in a relevant degree program and available to commit to three or more alternating semesters.
