Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join its Long Beach, California (CA) office. This position is not available remotely.
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and Quality Control (QC) deliverables for clients.
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for the built environment.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices, procedures, and standards.
- Work on a diverse range of projects including building MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, industrial controls, and more.
- Conduct electrical equipment cost research and assist with technical specification and report writing.
- Gain exposure to solar/energy projects with a focus on battery storage and PV, and possibly Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design.
Qualifications
An ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026 is required.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $91,500 - $99,000.
