Responsibilities

  • Work on the design of detailed plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
  • Contribute to the design of major projects from various markets locally and around the country.
  • Participate on project teams in an active production role.
  • Prepare project specifications.
  • Prepare electrical construction cost estimates.
  • Prepare daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Coordinate and verify of as-built drawings.
  • Perform quality work that promotes client retention.
  • Develop reports and design documents, including electrical floor plans, equipment schematic diagrams, equipment block diagrams, equipment load calculations, and connection diagrams.
  • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of water and wastewater systems.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering with municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus).
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes.
  • Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD).
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM – Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus.
  • Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
