Responsibilities
- Work on the design of detailed plans, specifications and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
- Contribute to the design of major projects from various markets locally and around the country.
- Participate on project teams in an active production role.
- Prepare project specifications.
- Prepare electrical construction cost estimates.
- Prepare daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
- Coordinate and verify of as-built drawings.
- Perform quality work that promotes client retention.
- Develop reports and design documents, including electrical floor plans, equipment schematic diagrams, equipment block diagrams, equipment load calculations, and connection diagrams.
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of water and wastewater systems.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering with municipal water and wastewater systems planning and design.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus).
- Professional Engineer license required.
- Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes.
- Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD).
- Building Information Modeling (BIM – Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus.
- Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
