About the role

This part-time, on-site position in Patuxent River, MD supports military weapons systems with an hourly pay range of $48.08 - $67.31, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Perform systems engineering functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, acquisition/resource management, etc.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate software, components, and systems supporting military weapons and related systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of additional work experience (9 years total).
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with XMA-ADT, CyberSafe, Program Protection Plans, Risk Management Framework Authority to Operate (ATO) work products, and Anti-Tamper (AT) process and products.
  • Knowledge of NAVAIR acquisition timeline and practices in Systems Engineering (SE), NAVAIR Aircraft Network Architecture Development, Anti-Tamper (AT), Critical Program Information Identification, and Navy Program Protection Planning Criticality Analysis and Cyber Security Strategy development processes.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (required to apply; candidates without this clearance will not be considered).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain additional security access requirements as necessary for the contract.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

This role primarily involves office work, sitting at a desk or cubicle while using a computer. The employee may occasionally travel short distances to offices or conference rooms on-site or nearby. Work is physically comfortable, with discretion over sitting, walking, or standing.
