About the Role

Join the Computing Products Hardware team at Collins Aerospace, a leader in intelligent aerospace and defense solutions. As an Electrical Engineer, you will support products through all phases of the lifecycle, from design and development to production and service. This role involves complex microprocessor and FPGA-based circuit board design, compliance with DO-160 and DO-254 standards, and collaboration with peers and customers to drive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle, including design & development, transition to production, factory support, and service support.
  • Execute complex microprocessor and FPGA-based circuit board design, including schematic capture, part selection, and simulation.
  • Implement designs optimized for cost, manufacturability, and testability while complying with DO-160 and DO-254 standards.
  • Prepare and present technical project information to peers and internal/external customers.
  • Lead the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruptions to project schedules.
  • Monitor and re-estimate project costs monthly to ensure predictable performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with hardware/software/systems integration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and integrated system interactions.
  • Hands-on lab experience with complex engineering and test equipment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD. Eligible applicants may also receive annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation, depending on performance and business unit factors.
