Electrical Engineer II

The Opportunity

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid work environment in our San Francisco office. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities.

About the Role

This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems, while sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering
• Design electrical distribution, lighting and power systems under the direction of a lead engineer
• Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
• Understand and able to read plans and specifications, develop skills to edit/write specifications
• Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
• Apply building codes and electrical industry standards
• Prepare electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection
• Interact with clients and other project team members
• Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
• Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
• Thorough understanding of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
• Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
• Requires a minimum 1-2 years of Electrical E-1 or equivalent experience
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred

Benefits

• Hiring Base Salary Range: $96,800-$118,200 annual
• This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
• The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees
• We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered
• At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs
• The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
