Electrical Engineer II
The Opportunity
PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid work environment in our San Francisco office. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities.
About the Role
This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems, while sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination.
Responsibilities
- Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering
- Design electrical distribution, lighting and power systems under the direction of a lead engineer
- Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
- Understand and able to read plans and specifications, develop skills to edit/write specifications
- Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
- Apply building codes and electrical industry standards
- Prepare electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection
- Interact with clients and other project team members
- Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
- Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
- Thorough understanding of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
- Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
- Requires a minimum 1-2 years of Electrical E-1 or equivalent experience
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred

Benefits
- Hiring Base Salary Range: $96,800-$118,200 annual
- This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay
- The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees
- We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered
- At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs
- The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
