Electrical Engineer II

The Electrical Project Engineer II has expert experience with electrical design, coordination, installation, and commissioning of complex manufacturing equipment and processes. This role requires both power distribution and feed system experience as well as advanced manufacturing equipment and process controls experience. Essential Duties Design complex control systems for carpet tile manufacturing processesDesign power distribution schematics/systems for manufacturing equipment and processes while following NEC/NFPA codes and regulationsWork with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve manufacturing equipment and processesLead and participate on project teams delivering complex projects up $10MMSupport the development and maintenance of engineering, maintenance and operational documentationComply with all safety, environmental, and quality system standards, rules and policiesAdhere to and improve internal engineering standardsContinue to develop personal knowledge and skills while staying abreast of changes in technologyTrain and coach junior engineers, engineering technicians, and maintenanceProvide project progress updates and reports as needed Educational Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering or higher Experience & Skills Over 2 years’ experience as an electrical engineer in the manufacturing environmentExperience in project management principles is requiredDesign knowledge of power feed and distribution systemsDesign, programming, & troubleshooting skills with PLC’s (Rockwell); PC Controls; servo systems; AC/DC coordinate drive controls; HMI/MMI applications; network communications for drives, PLC, & HMI/MMI devices; VFD’sDemonstrated Schematic developmentDemonstrated competency in AutoCAD electrical to independently produce electrical schematic/designsAbility to develop requests for capital project funding and manage projects up to $500k independentlyDemonstrated leadership for teams with cross functional membersDemonstrated analytical and reasoning skills to work through problem resolution via RCFA.Experience in data acquisition systems & reporting toolsExcellence in written and verbal communicationsAdvanced computer skills in Excel, Microsoft Project, etc. requiredMaintain housekeepingComply with safety rulesComply with environmental regulationsBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Willingness to learn and understand Interface's commitment to sustainabilityPerform other duties as assigned Physical demands: Climbing ladders, mezzanine, etc. Standing for long periods of time Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering Learn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
