Electrical Engineer - Entry Level

About the role

General Dynamics Mission Systems applies advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar space, and everything in between. Working successfully within a team, the STE (Special Test Equipment) Test Engineer will help design the qualification and testing environments to aide in system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This team develops an emulator to the Space Vehicle which will be used on the ground in support of Acceptance and Qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools
• Development of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
• Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
• Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time at time of hire
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
