About the role

Engineers at Bridgestone drive innovation in the world's largest tire and rubber company. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy machinery and equipment to execute and improve processes.
  • Program and integrate industrial controls hardware and software for new and existing machines.
  • Learn and apply PLC programming techniques and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Utilize key electrical manufacturing tools and systems; suggest improvements as needed.
  • Support process engineering in areas such as compound, component, curing process, or uniformity analyses.
  • Assist in the safe design, procurement, installation, debug, start-up, and operation of plant equipment and projects.
  • Utilize software and standards for accurate creation, revision, and organization of documents and distribution controls in product design.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or another applicable major, actively enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Sophomore-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Completed coursework in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD.
  • Available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment.
