About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games venue infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy phases
  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established procedures
  • Prepares engineering-related calculations and develops drawings and visual aids
  • Writes reports and memos for internal and external purposes based on findings
  • Works cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve the company's mission
  • Ensures discipline plans meet overall project team requirements for scope, quality, and schedule
  • Stays current on codes and technologies relevant to the electrical disciplines
  • Supports site visits for data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials
  • Develops designs within a BIM design environment
  • Completes assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client specifications and applicable codes and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university and passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT/FE)
  • Strong experience with Revit and AutoCAD-based design projects
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
  • Strong communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident
  • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
  • Desire to be mentored by leadership
  • Experience with sustainable design
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy/quality of work
  • Proficient in the use of drafting software including Revit and AutoCAD
  • Power system studies experience utilizing SKM, ETAP, or Easy Power
  • Lighting calculation experience with Visual, AGI32, or Elumtools
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard Microsoft software
  • Ability to work with and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team

Additional Information

This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $90000 to $120000 per year.
