Electrical Designer II
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review 2D and 3D design drawings for high technology facilities (power lighting, fire alarm, telecom, and security) in accordance with project requirements, codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Responsible for coordination & multidiscipline clash checking including the resolving of issues using Navisworks.
- Site surveys of existing services to ascertain “as-built” conditions.
- Perform construction administration and field work as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Drafter/Designer roles preferred.
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- Hands on experience creating power systems, voltage drop, short circuit, rack elevations, and riser diagrams and building load calculations to produce engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Building Codes (IBC) desired.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of industry specific software AIG, SKM (Arc Flash), Visual (Lighting Calculations).
- Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative. Ability to multitask on multiple projects and work independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
