Electrical Designer II

Position Responsibilities

• Affords support to the Project Lead during design development and documentation.
• Utilizes computer-aided design technologies to create sketches, drawings, and construction documents.
• Reviews designs and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
• Configures views/sheets within Revit or AutoCAD for project use, adhering to established naming conventions and drawing lists prepared by the Project Lead.
• Collaborates with equipment suppliers/vendors to gather necessary information for design completion.
• Communicates with clients on a limited basis to clarify scope and design intent.
• Conducts research on equipment selections from catalogs under the guidance of the Project Designer/Engineer.
• Performs basic engineering/design calculations, such as motor feeder sizing, conversion from HP and kW to amps and kVA, branch circuit and panel loads, and voltage drop.
• Ensures high-quality standards and checks for work coordination to align with design intent and necessary coordination.
• Collaborates with related engineering disciplines and attends job and construction meetings to participate in coordination of work.
• Investigates non-routine code issues and obtains interpretations from code officials.
• Engages in special projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2-4 years of previous design experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Technical or Associate Degree in design from an accredited technical institution or college.
• Experience in using engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks).
• Proven time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes.
