Electrical Designer/EIT
About the role
The HDR BES group in New Jersey is seeking an Electrical Designer/EIT to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing routine electrical engineering tasks under supervision, working on various projects, and contributing to sustainable design initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical engineering assignments, with instruction from Project Engineers or Managers
- Work on projects with clear objectives and limited variables
- Assist more senior engineers on larger projects as needed
- Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs, and Technicians as necessary
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate (candidates without EIT will be titled "Designer" and expected to obtain it)
- Previous experience with architectural/engineering firms and designing electrical systems for building projects
- Experience and interest in sustainable design/LEED
- Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power
- A positive attitude towards fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture

Pay and Schedule
The expected compensation range for this position is $62,629.00 - $97,250.00 annually in New Jersey. The schedule is Full-time.
