Electrical Design Technician: Energy and Power
The Role
Your impact The energy industry continues to evolve, with ongoing investment across power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial energy infrastructure. Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power Solutions team to support a broad portfolio of projects serving utility, industrial, and infrastructure clients across North America and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical design models and construction drawings for complex energy projects that support reliable, efficient, and modern power systems.
- Coordinate BIM models in Revit and CAD environments.
- Oversee and coordinate multi-discipline design teams to deliver accurate, constructible three-dimensional models and drawing packages.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, designers, and project teams to support a diverse group of multi-sector clients.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Proven experience producing complex BIM models and construction drawings in an engineering or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical equipment, systems, and layouts.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven work ethic and ability to meet project schedules and requirements.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering or related field.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Navisworks.
Skills
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of electrical equipment, systems, and layouts.
- Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $108,825.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
