Role Overview: Provides technical leadership and management for a Powersports design team, overseeing engineering output, supervising team activities, and ensuring high-quality specifications, designs, and development results. The role combines technical expertise with organizational leadership to meet business goals, advance product development, uphold global quality standards, and enhance engineering capabilities. Key Responsibilities Review and approve engineering deliverables, including design specifications, calculations, and drawings, to ensure accuracy and quality.Lead troubleshooting efforts for development and production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Supervise and collaborate with design teams across multiple projects, managing workload, priorities, and resources.Mentor and coach team members to develop skills and maintain consistent output quality.Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments, management, suppliers, and global affiliates.Promote best practices, improve design processes, and support knowledge sharing and cross-functional learning.Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and workforce planning to ensure a capable team. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related) or equivalent experience.At least 8+ years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years in supervisory or project leadership roles, preferably in Powersports or Automotive sectors.Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software, and familiarity with FTA, FMEA, and dimensional tolerance analysis.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and planning abilities.Ability to operate with confidentiality and resolve conflicts effectively. Working Conditions: Includes occasional travel, primarily desk-based work, and exposure to typical office/shop hazards. Overtime may be required based on project needs. Adheres to safety policies and maintains professional conduct.
