Electrical Design Engineer - Automation

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the testing, development, and implementation of microprocessor- and PLC-based control systems.

About the role

This is a contract position based in Naperville, IL, and is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the design and development of microprocessor- and PLC-based control systems.
• Contribute to circuit design, including AC and DC digital and analog circuits, ensuring adherence to power and safety standards.
• Perform schematic capture and support PCB layout activities using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks for automated systems.

Requirements

• Proficiency in circuit design (AC/DC digital and analog).
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of microprocessor- and PLC-based control systems.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $60.00 per hour. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
