Job Description
The ideal candidate will work across engineering, production, digital tools, and external software partners to improve design quality and data consistency.
- Integrate, organize, and maintain standard circuits and sub-circuits within the E3 ECAD database software environment
- Establish governance and control of the standard component library to drive consistency and reduce uncontrolled component selection and part number proliferation
- Develop, update, and expand the LV component library to support 3D modeling capabilities and standardized panel layout design
- Partner with engineering teams to improve database structure, data quality, and reusability of electrical design content
- Develop and deliver training materials and best practices for COE team members on E3 design software and database usage
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with Zuken to align on software best practices, database architecture, issue resolution, and upgrade execution
- Support integration between E3 and configurator tools to enable automatic generation of electrical schematics
- Improve design accuracy and wiring BOM quality to reduce production floor errors, rework, and inefficiencies
- Support initiatives related to panel layout optimization, wire length prediction, and future wire preparation automation
- Expand BOM structure and component data governance to improve procurement accuracy and downstream manufacturing execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university or college.
- 3+ years of relevant industry and technical experience.
Desired
- Experience with Zuken E3 or similar ECAD platforms
- Experience working with electrical schematics, component libraries, bills of materials, and engineering databases
- Experience with ECAD tools and product data management systems
- Familiarity with PLM systems and structured engineering data governance
- Strong understanding of electrical component library management and database architecture
- Experience developing standards, training materials, and best practices for engineering teams
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, digital, and external software providers
- Experience supporting automation, configurator integration, or digital manufacturing initiatives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Prior experience with low-voltage control components, panel layouts, or wiring systems is preferred
