About the role
Advance Your Career as an Electronic Specialist in Manufacturing with Boise Cascade – Western Oregon Region (Medford, OR)
Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement projects for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of control devices and electronic systems.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, administrative staff, and vendors to support mill operations.
- Train and mentor peers in advanced electronic troubleshooting and controls.
- Oversee all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance, shutdowns, upgrades, and equipment installations.
- Manage and coordinate teams of millwrights, electricians, and mechanics.
- Ensure optimal plant uptime and drive cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Champion environmental compliance and safety standards.
- Stay ahead of technological trends to maximize efficiency and operational excellence.
- Support recordkeeping and budget compliance for maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electronics, engineering, science, or related field is preferred.
- Three (3)+ years' experience in related job function is preferred.
- A solid understanding/ability of troubleshooting electronic components and control systems.
- The ability to write PLC programs and have a working knowledge of PC programs.
- An excellent communicator.
- The ability to work with a wide variety of personnel.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work extra hours as necessary and be on-call during off hours.
- Must be an advocate of process control and total quality.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with PLC programming and PC software.

$75,000 - $96,000 (DOQ)
Schedule
Full-time position with some travel to Boise Cascade manufacturing locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
