About the role

Advance Your Career as an Electronic Specialist in Manufacturing with Boise Cascade – Western Oregon Region (Medford, OR)

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement projects for the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of control devices and electronic systems.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams, administrative staff, and vendors to support mill operations.
  • Train and mentor peers in advanced electronic troubleshooting and controls.
  • Oversee all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance, shutdowns, upgrades, and equipment installations.
  • Manage and coordinate teams of millwrights, electricians, and mechanics.
  • Ensure optimal plant uptime and drive cost-effective maintenance solutions.
  • Champion environmental compliance and safety standards.
  • Stay ahead of technological trends to maximize efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Support recordkeeping and budget compliance for maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, engineering, science, or related field is preferred.
  • Three (3)+ years' experience in related job function is preferred.
  • A solid understanding/ability of troubleshooting electronic components and control systems.
  • The ability to write PLC programs and have a working knowledge of PC programs.
  • An excellent communicator.
  • The ability to work with a wide variety of personnel.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work extra hours as necessary and be on-call during off hours.
  • Must be an advocate of process control and total quality.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with PLC programming and PC software.

Pay

$75,000 - $96,000 (DOQ)

Schedule

Full-time position with some travel to Boise Cascade manufacturing locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
